DAVID A. TOIVONEN, M.D.

Dr. Toivonen joined the Hand and Upper Extremity Center of Northeast Wisconsin in 1995. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery with a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Surgery of the Hand. He specializes in wrist arthroscopy and the treatment of wrist disorders. Dr. Toivonen treats all disorders of the upper extremity including shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand injuries and conditions.

Dr. Toivonen received his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed a five-year Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics in Madison, Wisconsin, followed by a Fellowship in Hand and Upper Extremity at The State University of New York-Syracuse Health Science Center.

Dr. Toivonen has been published in several professional journals and has given numerous lectures on a variety of hand and upper extremity topics.
