Ann is the therapy manager at the Hand & Upper Extremity Center. She graduated from Marquette University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy and then obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Drexel University in 2007. Ann is a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist who specializes in upper extremity disorders that include the shoulder. She has a passion for teaching and enjoys presenting continuing education courses to hand therapists around the country. In addition, Ann co-authored a chapter in Rehabilitation of the Hand & Upper Extremity on nerve compression syndromes. Ann enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter and loves canoeing, kayaking, and backpacking.

Donna is a 1989 graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She received her Hand Therapy Certification in 2008. Donna has worked for the Hand and Upper Extremity Center since 1993. She performed her clinical programs in Boston Massachusetts in psych disabilities and her physical disabilities clinical at St Joseph's hospital in Arizona. Areas of clinical interest include custom splinting, trauma and post-op care.

Maureen is a 1982 graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She has been a certified hand therapist (CHT) since 1996. She enjoys the art of splint making, joint and soft tissue mobilization, edema (swelling) control and is comfortable with all thermal and electrical modalities. She enjoys an active lifestyle including power yoga, golf, cycling and skiing.

Joseph is a 1979 graduate from Northwestern University with a Certificate of Physical Therapy, and a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education, with a minor in Athletic Training from Minnesota State University Mankato in 1975. Joe is also a certified Athletic Trainer. Joe specializes in upper extremity disorders that include primarily the shoulder and treatment for thoracic outlet syndrome.

Karen enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.

Teresa is a 2001 graduate from the University of North Florida with a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy. She obtained a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Boston University in 2006 and her Hand Therapy Certification in 2007. She specializes in upper extremity disorders that include the shoulder. Teri is also a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner™ (CKTP™); aiding in the optimization of functional range of motion, improving quality of movement, muscle recruitment and performance, managing edema, scar tissue and decreasing pain. Teri is the current president of the Wisconsin Chapter of the American Society of Hand Therapists (WI-ASHT).  She enjoys working with pediatric patients, and clinical areas of interest include wound management and nerve compression disorders. Teri enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and showing classic cars with her husband, Gary.

Previously, Holly enjoyed participating as a co-author to the Fourth Edition of The Indiana Hand Center's Diagnosis & Treatment Manual for Physicians and Therapists. Holly obtained her hand therapy certification (CHT) in 1998 and has been with the practice for 14 years. Her professional interests include: hand trauma, flexor tendon rehabilitation, custom splinting and rehabilitation/splinting for arthritis. Outside interests include photography, participating in sports and activities with her husband and 2 children, and spending time with family and her 2 golden retrievers.

JoAnn is a 1981 graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She received her Hand Therapy Certification in 1991. JoAnn has worked primarily with hands since the onset of the practice in 1987. Previous professional focus included neuro rehabilitation, arthritis and orthopedics. Current interests include trauma, wound care, arthritis, splinting and tennis elbow. Personal interests include home remodeling and decorating, Habitat for Humanity, gardening, musical concerts and time with friends and family.

Her professional interests have been in the application of myofascial release for the treatment of upper extremity pain, wound care, and splinting. Christine is a 2002 graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. As an Occupational therapist and one of 14 certified hand therapists, Christine has a special interest in the use of evidence based manual therapy and therapeutic taping techniques for addressing pain and dysfunction of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. Additionally she stresses a combined approach of clear communication and teamwork with her patients for optimal health outcomes. "I believe that knowledge and passion are the keys to being an effective therapist".

Areas of professional interest include hand trauma/wound care, custom splinting, and Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. She enjoys spending time with her family engaging in outdoor activities such as water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, biking, kayaking, fishing, and golfing. She also enjoys learning and speaking Spanish with her Spanish-speaking patients.

She has had extensive training in traumatic hand and burn injuries while employed with University Hospital and Clinics in Madison before becoming a staff therapist and certified Hand Therapist at the Hand and Upper Extremity Center. Laurie has specialized training in manual therapy techniques including mobilizations and myofascial release. Special interests include treatment of nerve or shoulder injuries including thoracic outlet syndrome. Personal interests include outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, biking, kayaking, skiing, and soccer.

She worked in the Milwaukee area in Inpatient Rehabilitation prior to moving to the Appleton area in 2001. Areas of special interest include edema reduction techniques and custom splinting. She also specializes in upper extremity disorders including the hand, wrist and elbow. Julie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, walking, cycling and boating.

Laurie is a 1983 graduate from Texas Women's University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. She received additional training and experience at Duke University Hospital and Luther Midelfort Hospital of the Mayo Health System. Laurie has specialized in treating hand injuries for over 20 years. She brings an eclectic approach in helping patients regain hand and arm function maximizing their quality of life. Laurie is an energetic therapist whose passion motivates her patients toward a quick recovery. In her free time, Laurie enjoys biking, golfing, cross country skiing, traveling, and spending time exploring nature with family and friends.

Michelle is a 1993 graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy. She obtained her Lypmhedema Certification to treat both Lymphedema and post-operative edema in 2001. Areas of professional interest and specialization include shoulder rehabilitation, post-operative edema, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, and ergonomics. She thrives on developing a personal relationship with her patients and helping them reach their fullest potential. Areas of personal interest include hiking, biking, working out, interior decorating, cooking, waterskiing, gardening and especially her family and friends.

Nicole is a 1997 graduate from Mount Mary College with a double major in Occupational Therapy and Behavioral Science. Nicole has been working at the Hand and Upper Extremity Center for 12 years and obtained her CHT certification in 2003. Professional interests include restoring hand function after traumatic nerve and tendon injuries, fabrication of customized splints and conservative treatment of shoulder conditions. She also has professional training with soft tissue and myofascial techniques. Most recently she has assisted with designing a program for patients needing pre and post prosthetic care. She enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
